What is our ethos?
Law firms today have a culture of maximising their hourly rate in order to ensure that they meet the costs of excessive overheads – offices, support staff and junior solicitors. These costs are then passed on to you as their client. We work differently. We outsource all of our support needs providing you with an excellent and efficient service using state of the art technology and systems.
Our aim is to be your in-house legal team for however long you may need us, on your terms. We are there to provide you with a thorough and efficient service, and we never lose sight of that. As soon as we are instructed, we will work with you closely so as to be able to understand your business and the requirements that you have. We think that this is really important in order to provide you with the best service possible.
Why have we structured the business in this way?
The legal profession has now undergone a radical change. Some have likened it to the “big bang” that affected the financial services industry many years ago. Major brands such as the Co-operative have now entered the legal services market. We would not dream of competing with these huge, well established brands. We are commercial specialists, often advising on complex areas of law, and we can offer a service tailored specifically to your needs – there will be no “call centres”, you will mean more to us than just a number.
You will deal with a director or highly qualified consultant from the commencement of your transaction to the conclusion of it, as we believe this is the standard of service that you deserve from a specialist commercial law firm.
Managing Director and Solicitor
Zoe Tranter, a solicitor who qualified over fifteen years ago, and who has over twenty years plus industry knowledge and experience, is the founding Director of the Company. Zoe has worked in various organisations ranging from national and international law firms, such law firms including Wragge & Co (now Gowling), Hammonds (now Squire Patton Boggs) and Bevan Brittan (formerly Bevan Ashford), to working in-house for a Regional Development Agency, to consulting to a number of Local Authorities on regeneration projects. In addition to this experience, she has acted for the NHS, a number of major institutional pension funds, and a number of major household names from the retail sector, all in the management of their extensive property portfolios. Zoe’s expertise ranges from dealing with the purchase of the site, the build, and then to the eventual lettings or sales on. Zoe also has extensive experience in residential property development. One such development project involved her being part of a legal team representing a consortium of three major housebuilders in a residential housing development project worth in excess of £100 million, for the construction of approximately 3,500 houses. A huge amount of experience, knowledge and industry contacts have been acquired as a result.
Zoe heads up our corporate commercial team and is known to be a highly effective, tactical and focused negotiator when bringing projects to a close for her clients.
Sophie is a conveyancing executive, who is currently studying on the CILex (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) route to qualify as a legal executive. Throughout her training Sophie has developed a passion for residential property, and now specialises in this area of practice. She deals with both the freehold and leasehold transfers of residential properties.
Sophie thoroughly enjoys working closely with her clients to enable them to achieve their desired outcome in the timescale set by them, whether that be buying or selling their property. She cares a lot about the quality of her work and her clients. Her dedication and care and attention to detail are second to none.
